Sister Bay Administrator Leaving for Racine Job

Sister Bay Village Administrator Zeke Jackson has announced he will be leaving in mid-December for a similar position in the Village of Waterford in Racine County, which is in close proximity to the Foxconn development.

“I’ve been here four years and we’ve done a lot of fun and really exciting things in Sister Bay,” Jackson said.

Prior to taking the position in Sister Bay in 2013 Jackson was the manager in the town of Exmore, Va. He said the next 60 days he will work with the staff and village board to transition to the next phase of leadership for the village, and he leaves with a sense of pride in the growth of the village during his tenure.

“What isn’t to be proud of?” he said. “Number one, I would say is the relationships. I’ve made a lot of friends here and those friendships have allowed us to do some incredible things, some outsize stuff. We’re a little community of 900 people and we’ve done some stuff that a city would have trouble achieving. We’ve done things with the beach, the waterfront, all the growth and development in the downtown. We’ve done a lot of stuff in four years.”

The Village of Waterford has a population of 5,000, more than five times more people than Sister Bay.
