Sister Bay announces paving projects

• The Village of Sister Bay announced two paving projects. All of Country Walk Drive near the Piggly Wiggly will be re-paved after Labor Day, with a walking and biking path added alongside the road. The Door County Highway Department will do the work. Portions of Little Sister Road will be re-paved as well.

• The Village of Egg Harbor will hold a meeting to discuss the need for law enforcement Sept. 30 from 6 – 8 pm. Rob Burke of the UW – Extension will facilitate the meeting.

• The Village of Sister Bay is seeking bids for the demolition of the Al Johnson Butik building across from the famous restaurant in Sister Bay. The demolition will be followed by site restoration to create a park on the site of the building. Bid specifications are available on the village Intranet site under “Public Notices” at http://intranet.sisterbay.com.

• The fall primary election is Tuesday, Sept. 14. Polls will be open from 7 am – 8 pm.

• Sevastopol will host its annual alumni benefit softball games at the town park in Institute over Labor Day weekend. Sevastopol alumni will gather for games, food and refreshments beginning Friday evening and running through Sunday evening, September 3 – 5.
