Sister Bay Blossom Festival Brings Spring Spirit

The Village of Sister Bay will again welcome spring with the annual “Blossom Festival” on Saturday, May 9. Events will be held in and around the Waterfront Park in Sister Bay.

Gibraltar students will begin face painting in the park at 10 am to get everyone in the spring spirit! The children’s parade will begin at 11:30 am and features “Corduroy the Bear” and the Gibraltar Middle School Band. Children of all ages are welcome to participate with decorated bikes, trikes and hats following the “blossom” theme and should meet at the parking lot between Sunset and Scandia Roads at 11 am.

At noon, there will be parade prizes, games and activities in the park and the “Taste of Sister Bay” in the Village Hall. Local restaurants will be selling small servings of featured items and participants include:  Al Johnson’s, DC Deli, Inn at Kristofers, Door County Ice Cream Factory, Mission Grille, Moretti’s, Sarah’s Snack Shop, Sister Bay Café, Viking Grill and Grandma’s Swedish Bakery.

At 2 pm, the Taste of Sister Bay will conclude and the Norwegian Dancers will entertain and “Raise the Maypole.” Everyone is invited to come and join in the celebration!
