Sister Bay Could Adopt Chain Restaurant Ban

• Sister Bay’s board of trustees could adopt an ordinance banning formula, or chain, restaurants at its Aug. 10 regular board meeting. The ordinance received the endorsement of the village’s plan commission July 15. The ordinance can be viewed on the village intranet site at http://intranet.sisterbay.com.

• The Jacksonport Parks Committee will discuss its five year parks action plan at its meeting Aug. 2 at the town hall at 7 pm.

• The Door County Board of Supervisors is heading into budget crunching season. County Administrator Mike Serpe says county departments are preparing to present the next budget to the board in September. The board will begin serious discussions about Family Care at the August meeting. Family Care is a state program administered by the Department of Health Services to help provide long-term care to the elderly as well as people with developmental and physical disabilities.
