Sister Bay Kicks Off Summer with Beach Bash

The Village of Sister Bay has undergone a dramatic transformation and can’t wait to show it off with Beach Bash, a community-wide celebration on June 25. Experience Paddlefest, the first annual co-ed volleyball tournament, music at the Waterfront Park Performance Pavilion, and fireworks over the bay.

Sister Bay has plenty to celebrate this summer. The Hwy 42/Bay Shore Drive reconstruction and a multi-year effort and investment of $18 million in major public works are complete. The Sister Bay Beach project represents the largest of its kind in Door County. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 am at the corner of Mill Road and Highway 42.

From 9 am – 1 pm, everyone has the chance to check out the latest kayaks and stand-up paddleboards at Paddlefest at the beach. Start your morning with SUP yoga, SUP lessons and SUP tryouts. Sign up early for SUP yoga as space is limited. Experienced staff from Bay Shore Outfitters will be on hand.

Sign up a team or watch the double elimination co-ed volleyball tournament. Play begins at 10 am. Entry fee is $100 per team with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the Gibraltar volleyball program.

Live music at the Waterfront Performance Pavilion by Hoi Polloi begins at 6 pm.

At 9:15 pm, fireworks over the bay by Spielbauer cap off Sister Bay’s community summer celebration. For more information, visit cometosisterbay.com, call 920.854.2812 or email [email protected].
