Sister Bay Property Owners Invited to Open Book Session

• Village of Sister Bay property owners are invited to the village’s Open Book Session on Tuesday, June 25, from 10 am – 4 pm in the large meeting room at the village fire station. The Open Book Session is a chance for property owners to review the value of other parcels in the village with assessor Troy Zacharias of Action Appraisers & Consultants to make sure their parcels are assessed at an appropriate value.

• The Door County Civility Project is hosting a training session on Thursday, June 27, from 6 – 8 pm at the Jane Green Room of the Sturgeon Bay Library. Attend the free training session to learn how to advance civility in the community, and how to address conflict, disagreement and discussion without anger or disrespect. • The Wisconsin Coastal Management Committee will hold its fall meeting in Door County on Sept. 19. The committee will tour Plum Island to see the island’s Coast Guard station, and host a public meeting somewhere on the mainland. More information will be available in the coming weeks.

At the committee’s last meeting, members prioritized funding programs that address the impacts of low lake levels, according to committee member and Door County Soil and Water Conservation Department head Bill Schuster.

• The Wisconsin Dairy Products Association will hold its annual Dairy Symposium on July 8 – 9 at The Landmark Resort, Egg Harbor. The Dairy Symposium focuses on all dairy products; highlighting the innovative and trendsetting practices that are crucial for transporting the dairy industry into the 21st century.
