Sister Bay to dedicate Waterfront Park addition

• Sister Bay will dedicate the latest addition to its Waterfront Park and expanded village marina Saturday, June 18, at 11 am.

The ceremony will be held on the new boardwalk across the street from Casperson’s Funeral Home at 10708 N. Bay Shore Dr. (Hwy 42). Local musician Matt Burress will perform and Lena MacDonald will perform the national anthem. The ceremony will include an invocation and brief speeches to dedicate the opening of the parcels purchased from the Al Johnson and Greg Casperson families last year. The parcels give the village 1,936 feet of continuous public shoreline.

A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, June 19 at 11 am.

• The Door County YMCA is hosting a Community Needs Assessment June 15 at the Sturgeon Bay Program Center at noon and 5 pm and on June 23 at the Northern Door Program Center in Fish Creek at noon. Community members are invited to share their thoughts and concerns about the Y in the brainstorming sessions.
