About 80 people stopped by the first session on Aug. 12, said village administrator Julie Schmelzer. Those attendees saw first drafts of concepts to relocate the village administration building, post office, parks & maintenance building, parks department storage garage, and reconfigure the sports complex.
At the upcoming meeting, consultants from Ayres Associates will present revised concept plans based on feedback from the first session, plus ideas for potential building designs for the relocated buildings.
“We’re trying to get as much input as we can before we finalize the draft,” Schmelzer said.
Following the public comment period Aug. 28, the Parks, Property & Streets Committee will review the proposal and potentially make a recommendation to the village board regarding the facilities plan.
