Sister Bay Waterfront Hosts Sip & Savor and Paddlefest

Tickle and tantalize taste buds at Sip & Savor, Sister Bay’s event on the waterfront, June 14, 1 to 5 pm. Try your hands at kayaking or Stand Up Paddleboarding at Paddlefest from 11 am to 4 pm.

From 1 – 5 pm, swirl and sample wine and hard cider from eight Door County wineries: Door Peninsula, Harbor Ridge, Island Orchard Cider, Orchard Country, Parallel 44, Red Oak, Simon Creek, and Von Stiehl. Savor cheese from Door County cheesemakers: Door County Creamery and Schoolhouse Artisan Cheese.

Taste your way through Sister Bay restaurants’ select menu items during the day. Tickets are $20 for wine, cheese and food, $15 for food and cheese, $5 for kids 10 and younger.

Enjoy the sounds of musicians Katie Dahl (1 – 3 pm), David Hatch and Lynn Gudmundsen (3 – 5 pm) throughout the afternoon.

Whether you’re an old pro, or a newbie, check out the latest kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards at the Sister Bay Beach. The friendly, experienced staff from Bay Shore Outfitters will show you the tricks for a successful paddle experience from the beach in Sister Bay, and give you a 30-minute SUP lesson at 11 am, 12 or 1 pm.

Everybody who comes to Sip & Savor and/or Paddlefest will receive a free raffle ticket for a wine, cheese and kayaking prize basket. Savor the sunset by the warmth of a campfire and snack on s’mores at Beach Park at 7 pm to round out the day.
