Sister Bay’s Ecology Sports Chosen for Patagonia’s Philanthropic Program

Ecology Sports in Sister Bay has been selected by their vendor Patagonia Footwear to participate in a two-week philanthropic program. From October 14 – 30, for every pair of Patagonia Footwear sold by Ecology Sports, Patagonia will donate funds to the Wisconsin River Alliance.

Ecology Sports owners Joel and Alicia Kersebet were given the freedom to designate a deserving charity, provided it had an environmental focus. The worldwide Patagonia Corporation donates 1 percent of their profits to organizations involved in protecting the planet’s natural resources.

The Kersebet’s concern for local environmental issues was already in place. “We’ve been involved in supporting the cause of clean water through the Wisconsin River Alliance for a number of years, so it was natural for us to choose them,” said Alicia.

Ecology Sports has sold clothing and accessories for outdoors and travel in their current location in Sister Bay’s Old Town Hall, 10904 Highway 42, for over a decade. For more information call 920.854.5724.
