Ski for Free, Viewing Night, Beekeeping at Crossroads

Join Crossroads at Big Creek on Jan. 25, 9:30 am – 3:30 pm; and Jan. 26, 1-3:30 pm, for its Ski for Free program. Crossroads and Door County Silent Sports lend, free of charge, an array of ski and snowshoe equipment in sizes to fit age three through large adults. When trail conditions permit, go to the Crossroads maintenance building, where volunteers will fit you with equipment.

Return to Crossroads on Jan. 25, 6 pm, for a Door Peninsula Astronomical Society viewing night. If skies are cloudy or the weather is blustery, the society will offer indoor viewing opportunities.

On Jan. 28, 6:30 pm, the Door County Beekeepers Club will hold a meeting and host Tim Wilbanks, who will present “Commercial Queen and Package Production.” All are welcome.

The Collins Learning Center, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, is open weekdays, 10 am – 4 pm; weekends, 1-3:30 pm; and during scheduled activities. Trails are free and open to the public 24/7 for skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and biking. The Collins Learning Center will close, and activities will be canceled, if Sturgeon Bay schools close.
