Skilled Nursing Facility to be Completed in August

August is the planned completion date for the new Door County Medical Center (DCMC) Skilled Nursing Facility and Hospice Care – the last of the patient-service areas in the 1963 building to be updated. The 25,000-square-foot facility will provide resident-centered care, improved service and supply efficiencies, and a dedicated space for end-of-life care.

The DCMC Auxiliary seeks volunteers for the greeting desk, beauty shop and other areas for shifts of no more than two and a half hours. Other Auxiliary volunteer opportunities are also available. DCMC Auxiliary members enjoy socializing at luncheons and fundraising events, free annual flu shots, and discounts on massages and at the Door Way Gift Shop. To join the Auxiliary, fill out an application at dcmedical.org/Auxiliary or call Robin Hamm-Jackson at 920.746.1071.
