Small Forest Gets in the Spirit at Christmas Show

The Small Forest Christmas Show is back at a new venue Dec. 18. The band of local musicians Jeanne Kuhns, George Sawyn, Marybeth Mattson and Patrick Palmer will play at the Ephraim Village Hall at 7 pm.

The show will restart a tradition. Small Forest had played the show at Base Camp for 11 years before the Sister Bay coffee shop closed in 2019. Kuhns and bandmates will perform an eclectic mix of modern, classic, and original Christmas music. The Huron Carol, Christmas Island, The Grinch and Jeanne’s, Mary’s Lullaby and My Christmas Day along with classics like White Christmas and Oh Holy night are some of the songs offered. Jeanne and Marybeth’s gorgeous Mother/Daughter harmonies, George’s exquisite guitar playing and Pat’s expressive bass, create a holiday celebration to remember.
