SmithMaker Artisan Co. Opens Second Location in Sturgeon Bay

SmithMaker Artisan Co. has opened a second location – in addition to its flagship store in De Pere and a satellite location at TwelveEleven Wine + Provisions in Sister Bay – at the Marketplace on 3rd Avenue in Sturgeon Bay.

SmithMaker celebrates the American artisan: Wisconsin-based artisans create more than half of its merchandise, and makers based elsewhere in the United States craft the rest. The small, independently owned business opened in De Pere a year ago during the pandemic. It sells Wisconsin-themed apparel, handmade candles and soaps, cribbage boards and many other items.

“The adventure continues as we expand our business in Door County!” said owner Ruth Fameree. “Bliss did a remarkable job restoring the old Younkers building, and it truly makes my heart swell to see brick-and-mortar retail thriving in Sturgeon Bay!”
