Social Event of the Ski Season

The Door County Silent Sports Alliance (DCSSA) will present “Ski the Door: 6 Ski Areas in 2 Days” from Feb. 5 – 6. Participants are welcome to ski groomed cross-country ski areas in Door County. There is no registration fee.

The event will begin in northern Door County and will include Newport, Peninsula, and Whitefish Dunes state parks on Saturday and Snowkraft, Potowatomi State Park, and Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay on Sunday.

This event will cater to all speeds, both classic and skate ski, with accommodated distances and planned meeting times for meals on both days to make this the social event of the ski season! It is perfect for those wanting a distance weekend to prepare for the Birkie or just the casual recreational skier who would like a taste of all the skiing options in Door County.

Saturday’s start point will be the Newport Parking Lot at 9 am. A carpool will meet at the north end of the Crossroads parking lot in Sturgeon Bay at 8 am. Sunday’s start point will be at Snowkraft at 9 am. The event will conclude in time for participants to catch the Super Bowl.
