The Door County Soil and Water Conservation Department will host three sessions in February to gather public input for use in developing the county’s next 10-year Land and Water Resource-Management Plan. The plan will identify land and water-resource concerns and develop goals to guide department programs in protecting those resources.
Interested parties may give input at these times and locations:
• Feb. 17, 6-7:30 pm, Door County ADRC, 916 N. 14th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay
• Feb. 19, 6-7:30 pm, Kress Pavilion, 7845 Church St. in Egg Harbor
• Feb. 20, 6-7:30 pm, Brussels Town Hall, 1366 Junction Road in Brussels
During the input sessions, staff will give an overview of the 2011-20 Land and Water Resource-Management Plan, describe updated resource assessments and review the process being used to develop the next 10-year plan. Attendees may then share their perspectives through an exercise facilitated by UW-Extension.
