Sól Grass Music Festival to Debute in June

BackRoads Events has scheduled the inaugural Sól Grass Music Festival – a celebration of bluegrass – for June 25-26 at the Washington Island Campground, 745 East Side Road on Washington Island. 

It will be a time to relax, reconnect with friends and family, make new friends, gaze at the stars and enjoy some amazing bluegrass music. The Washington Island Lions Club will be pouring favorites from the Door County Brewing Co. and Island Orchard Cider, and festival partner Island Adventure Company will rent kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, electric bikes and UTVs to explore the island.

Sól will offer a stellar line-up of classic and progressive bluegrass bands, including Chicken Wire Empire, Armchair Boogie, Sortin’ the Mail, Pine Travelers, The Cherry Pickers, Chain Station, Miles over Mountains and Humbird. 

The music will run 5:30-10:30 pm on Friday, June 25; and 4-10:30 pm on Saturday, June 26.
