Solar Tours Oct. 5

Learn about solar power and how you can use it to power your home Saturday during the National Solar Tour.

Four Door County stops will host open houses Oct. 5, 10 am – 4 pm, during the American Solar Energy Society’s National Solar Tour, the nation’s largest grassroots solar, renewable energy and sustainable-living event. A collection of solar open houses and local solar tours around the country will educate visitors about how to cut energy costs, enjoy tax credits and assert energy independence.

Among the tour stops will be Lake Michigan Wind and Sun, 1015 Cty U in Sturgeon Bay. To learn more and see a list of Door County tour stops, visit nationalsolartour.org.
