Solid Win for Destroyers on Aug. 20

On Aug. 20 the Door County Destroyers traveled to Sheboygan to take on the Rebels. The Destroyers defense was strong early as they forced two safeties and returned an interception to go into halftime at 24-0. The Rebels fought back in the second half but it wasn’t enough as the Destroyers went on to win 48-12. With the win the Destroyers have improved to 6-3 on the season as the Rebels fall to 0-9.

Standout performers of the day: quarterback T.J. Arndt – 8-23 for 164 yards, 1 touchdown; running back TaMar Scott – 217 yards, 3 touchdowns; wide receiver Tristan Wohlrabe-Fritsch – 64 yards, 1 touchdown; linebacker Donny Johnson – 6 tackles; cornerback T.J. Hulbert – 3 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 pass deflections, 1 touchdown; safety Bryan Beachler – 4 tackles, 1 sack; linebacker Chris LeCloux – 2 tackles, 1 sack.
