SŌMI’S THIRD ROOM FEATURES WORK OF SHAN BRYAN-HANSON

July 8 is the opening day for Resplendent, an installation by SŌMI Gallery’s newest Third Room guest artist, Shan Bryan-Hanson. An opening reception is planned for July 15, 4-6 pm.

Taking inspiration from dragonflies skimming across ponds, butterflies in flight and the honeycomb patterns created by bees, Bryan-Hanson layers paint, graphite and embroidery to craft intricate, intimate pieces that explore connection and regeneration.

A Door County resident, Bryan-Hanson is the curator of galleries at St. Norbert College in De Pere. She is represented by Cappaert Contemporary Gallery in Egg Harbor and Higher Art Gallery in Traverse City, Michigan.
