Songbird Sponsors Needed for “Construction Zone”

This June marks the 8th annual Steel Bridge Songfest (SBSF) and the 7th annual “Construction Zone,” a songwriting event that coincides with the festival. Songwriters from across the world will come to Sturgeon Bay to collaboratively write and record original songs in the Holiday Music Motel. These songs will also be performed at various SBSF venues during the festival weekend.

The songwriters travel at their own expense to donate their time and performances to the festival and community. In exchange, they are provided with room and board at the Holiday Music Motel, which contributes to the event in part by offering their guest rooms at highly discounted rates. As a result, it takes $300 to cover the cost of a room for the eight nights of the festival.

For $300, Songbird Sponsors will provide a room at the Holiday Music Motel for eight nights, which houses one to three visiting songwriters. In return Songbird Sponsors will receive two SBSF all-access passes, mention on the SBSF and Holiday Music Motel websites, an autographed SBSF CD, a personalized “thank you” card from the songwriters and a professional photo (courtesy of Avenson Photography) of the songwriters at work in their rooms.
