Sonny’s Pizzeria’s Patio Addition Creates Better Outdoor Dining Experience

Jason and Laura Estes, owners of Sonny’s Pizzeria in Sturgeon Bay, just completed their first summer with the new addition to the waterfront patio area of their restaurant. “We wanted to take advantage of increased customer demand for outside seating,” Jason said. “PortSide Builders was able to complete the addition in time for us to take advantage of the full summer season.”

The 252-square-foot addition makes it easier for Sonny’s staff to serve outdoor customers, which includes boaters in the Harbor Club Marina. It also expands the existing patio dining experience that features live music and an outdoor fireplace.

“The new addition allows our outdoor customers to enjoy a fuller view of the water and marina. It also provides Sonny’s with more visibility to those people coming over the bridge, to see that we offer a full-service outdoor seating area,” Jason said.

PortSide Building Consultant Jack Gigstead said, “We’ve done several projects with Jason and Laura over the years, and we’re proud to have been chosen as the general contractor for this addition.”
