Eddie Smith and Tommy Burroughs open the Woodwalk Concert Series on June 19 at 7 pm. These musicians light up the stage with their vocal harmonies, lightening speed mandolin, guitar and fiddle playing and fabulous original bluegrass/country tunes.

Burroughs and Smith say of their music, “If you close your eyes you can feel the Cadillac ride, and smell the cotton fields…” They call their brand of music “soul country.”

Other artists included in this year’s Woodwalk Concert Series are: Harpeth Rising, Dead Horses, Sweet Paprika, Sons of the Never Wrong, Carolyn Martin, Wise Women, Claudia Russell, Dave McGraw, Mandy Fer, Krista Detor and Small Forest will have their CD release concert on July 24. The Labor Day week, Sept. 2 – 4, brings performances from Julian Hagen, Hans Christian and the Water Street Hot Shots.
