SOUP! By the Numbers

Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek had a record attendance and sales for its SOUP! event on Feb. 3. Here’s a look at the event’s numbers:

640 bowls handcrafted by schools, organizations and individuals were purchased to benefit the School’s Children’s Outreach Program and Habitat for Humanity of Sturgeon Bay. In recent years, that number was closer to 500.

135 gallons of soup were donated by area restaurants and individuals, along with 60 loaves of bread and 40 dinner rolls.

1,000 brownies were baked by Peninsula School of Art Board member Cora Acor of Fish Creek.

80 volunteers helped to put on the event, including 10 Boy Scouts and 2 Scout Masters who bussed tables.
