Sourced Gears Up for the Holidays

The local artists and artisans who are part of the collaborative maker community at Sourced have been busy creating pieces for gift-giving.

Photographer Kelly Avenson-Goettelman has a new passion – creating metal art. Stop by to see her colorful torch-cut copper creations, her most popular ones are in the shape of hearts and states. Order custom pieces by Dec. 15.

Dawn Patel of Brilliant Stranger has tons of gift options – small art pieces, warm sweaters and accessories, and pillows and soft sculptures made from upcycled materials. She has lots of unique things for the little ones, too, including embellished clothing and stuffed creatures.

Katie Starr has a variety of pieces: small-scale art assemblages, vintage ephemera and home goods finds, and restyled furniture.

Come in Dec. 4 for demonstrations and fun. Jewelry artist Melissa Clark, of Prettywar designs, will be custom stamping metal pieces to order. Kayla Wilke, of Apple Blossom Goods, will also be in attendance. Her products for home and body are all natural and handmade locally in small batches.
