Southern Door Alumni Honored at 7th annual Hall of Fame Ceremony, May 10

Southern Door County School District will hold its seventh annual Alumni Hall of Fame Ceremony on May 10, 9:30 am, in the Southern Door Community Auditorium. The district will honor Barth Guilette, Class of 1973; and Tony Klaubauf, Class of 1976, as Southern Door graduates who are outstanding role models because of their significant career and community contributions. The public is invited to the ceremony.

Guilette earned an associate degree in civil engineering from NWTC and worked as a carpenter and draftsman. In 2012, he helped to establish CedarDoor Wealth Management and now works as a CedarDoor consultant. Guilette has always been active as a volunteer, board member and fundraiser for charities and is currently involved in the Third Phase Rhythm of Life: a project through which he assist others with their physical, emotional and intellectual needs as they enter retirement. Klaubauf earned an undergraduate degree from UW-Green Bay, master’s degree from UW-Oshkosh, educational-leadership certification from Marian College and superintendent licensure from UW- Milwaukee. In 2004, he was appointed superintendent of the Denmark School District and served there until his 2018 retirement. Klaubauf was also a founder of the Door-Kewaunee Insurance Cooperative, which brought together the nine districts of the two counties to share purchasing power for health insurance. He will begin a one-year interim superintendent position in Pulaski in July.
