Southern Door Celebrates Garden Week

Southern Door’s elementary and high school agriculture students celebrated School Garden Spirit Week May 17-21. 

Local volunteers and farmers helped students plant vegetables and fruits in the schoolyard garden, encouraging them to learn where their food comes from. The district paused the project last spring because of COVID-19 regulations.

School-spirit days also encouraged students and staff to dress according to a theme or color for Fruits & Veggies Day, Pollinator Day, Green Thumb Day, Gardener and Farmer Day, and Warm Weather Day.
