Southern Door Friends of Education Awards Go to Therma-Tron-X and Dave Murphy

The Southern Door Friends of Education Awards were established to recognize those individuals or groups for their support of public schools, not only financially, but for their personal involvement as well. Earlier this fall the district honored an individual and a group who have made significant contributions in their service to improve education. Recipient of the Individual Friend of Education Award was Dave Murphy, Middle School Volunteer Tutor. Recipient of the Corporate Friend of Education Award was Therma-Tron-X, Inc.

Years of Service Awards were presented earlier this fall to recognize staff service to the Southern Door County School District. Awards were presented for: Five Years of Service – Bob DeKelver, Amy Hynek-Volkman; Ten Years – Missy Bousley; 15 Years – Ted Chaudoir, Ann Deprey, Patti Isherwood, Krissy Phillips; 20 Years – Melissa Jodar; Kris LeCaptain; 25 Years – Lori Everard, 
Dave Samuels, Mary Spude, Sally Vandertie; 30 Years – Brent Claflin; 35 Years – Twila Clark, Robyn Paye and Cindy Pickett.
