Southern Door School District announced Monday that school board member Marilyn Fitzgerald-White has died.

Fitzgerald-White was up for re-election Tuesday, April 3 in a slate of four candidates running for three seats on the board. The other three on the ballot are Tammy Sternard, Carrol A. Toneys, and Josh Jeanquart. Two seats have three-year terms and the other carries a one-year term.

According to state statute, if Fitzgerald-White wins the election, the school board will appoint a replacement.
