Southern Door School District is sponsoring a 10-week open-lab workshop for adults in its Fab Lab on Wednesday evenings, 6-8pm, Jan. 16-March 20.
The first session on Jan. 16 will be a training session led by high school technical-education instructor Glen VanderVelden. The remaining nine sessions will be open to participants to use laser engravers, 3D printers, a vinyl cutter and CNC equipment. Software available for use will include CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Aspire, MasterCam, SolidWorks and machine-specific software.
The workshop participation cost is $75 per Southern Door resident and $125 per nonresident. Costs include registration and any material costs incurred for the projects created.
An application form (available at the high school office) and registration fee must be turned in to the Southern Door High School office. The class will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
