Southern Door Students and Staff Attend WI Global Youth Summit

The Wisconsin Global Education Achievement Certificate (GEAC) supports education for global competence with a designation of Wisconsin Global Scholar. Global scholars are students who have successfully completed the requirements in this program. They receive a special seal of distinction on their high school diploma. School district adoption of the GEAC is voluntary but must be approved by the DPI. Southern Door students and staff recently attended the Wisconsin Global Youth Summit at UW-Madison. Teachers learned how to implement and facilitate the Global Education Achievement Certificate, and students learned what it means to be a global citizen through various activities.

Southern Door is one of only 78 schools in Wisconsin to offer the Global Education Achievement Certificate.
