“Souvenir” Continues through March 9

James Valcq and Claire Morkin in TAP’s production of “Souvenir.”

Souvenir opened at Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) on Feb. 20 and will continue its run through March 9.

Souvenir is based on the real life story of Florence Foster Jenkins (played by Claire Morkin) – a wealthy society eccentric who suffered under the delusion that she was a great coloratura soprano when she was in fact incapable of producing two consecutive notes in tune.

Souvenir, by turn hilarious and poignant, tells her story through the eyes of her accompanist, Cosme McMoon (played by James Valcq). The production is directed by TAP’s co-artistic director Robert Boles.

Tickets are $22 general admission, $10 students 12 – 24, and $5 children 11 and younger. Performances begin at 7:30 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and at 2 pm on Sunday. For tickets, call 920.243.1760, visit, or stop by the box office at 239 North Third Avenue in Sturgeon Bay from Tuesday through Friday, 12 to 5 pm.
