Space, the not-so-serious home and gift shop, celebrated its grand opening on May 25 in Sister Bay. Upstairs from Space, Spot begins its fifth year in business in downtown Sister Bay. What started as a women’s retail store slowly incorporated more gifts, greeting cards and onesies. The overwhelming popularity of Spot’s gift items made Space a welcomed addition.
Space’s price point is affordable, starting at $5. Anyone with a sense of humor will love Space’s home accents, shower gifts and Door County souvenirs. You’ll find yourself laughing out loud at greeting cards, coffee table books and quirky kids stuff. In addition, shoppers will find an eclectic mix of glassware, candles, games, kitchenware and much more.
The sister stores of Spot and Space are located at 10647 North Bay Shore Drive and occupy a building that dates back to 1913 and was once a hardware store. Owner Jennie Bexell has kept as much of the original building as possible, which can be seen in Space’s beautifully restored log ceiling.
Space is now open daily 10 am to 7 pm. For more information find Spot on Facebook.
