Speaker on Women in Politics at Door Dems Meeting Thursday

Wendy Strout, Program Coordinator for Emerge Wisconsin, will be the guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the Democratic Party of Door County on Thursday, Jan. 28 at 7 pm in the basement meeting room of the Door County Library in Sturgeon Bay.

Emerge Wisconsin is a political leadership training program for Democratic women that works to inspire women to run for public office and assists in honing their skills to win elections. Their goal is to increase the number of women in public office.

Emerge Wisconsin is part of Emerge America, a national movement to address the under-representation of women in office at the local, state, and federal level. The Emerge mission is to identify, educate, and inspire women who want to pursue a career in politics at the local and state level in Wisconsin.
