Spring Classic Ride Will Feature Lunch from Thyme Catering

The Peninsula Century Spring Classic bike ride in Baileys Harbor will now feature food from Thyme Catering, the premier Door County caterer helmed by well-known Door County chef Karl Bradley and his wife Tonda Gagliardo.

The husband-and-wife team, known best for their long tenure wowing diners at the Mission Grille, will prepare a lunch of southwest penne pasta, Caesar salad, and rolls for the 800 riders expected at this year’s Spring Classic on June 17. Thyme Catering focuses on sourcing ingredients from local growers to bring a taste of Door County to every experience. Thyme Cuisine restaurant will open at Maxwelton Braes Resort in Baileys Harbor in the summer of 2017 as well.

The lunch also includes dessert from The Cookery, a free beer from Door County Brewing Co., unlimited free kombucha from Tapuat Kombucha. Plus, there will be live music from Evan Murdock and the Imperfect Strangers, followed by the Cajun Strangers on the grounds of the Door County Beer Festival (tickets to the tasting tent are sold separately).

The lunch is included for riders of all four distances – 25, 50, 62, and 100 miles of gorgeous cycling along Door County’s most beautiful back roads and shoreline vistas. New in 2017, each route features aid stations stocked with featured meal items and bites, plus mechanic and SAG support.

Registration for the ride is open now at PeninsulaCenturySpringClassic.com, and tickets to the beer tasting tent are sold separately and are available at DoorCountyBeerFestival.com.
