Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay invites the community to Spring into Jazz! on Friday, March 17. Local talent is featured as up-and-comer Emilie Taylor opens for veteran jazz musician Rändi Fay.
Spring into Jazz is part of The Master’s Cup Coffee House concert series, held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1756 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay. Emilie Taylor will open at 6 pm with Rändi Fay and her band playing from 6:30-8 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm.
Empowering, enriching and entertaining, Rändi Fay’s hallmark is the imaginative vibe she brings to original songs as well as treasured standards through a lively, lyric-driven interplay of jazz, Latin, blues and pop. Three-time WAMI nominee, Rändi connects with audiences, delivering a passionate musical experience with her critically hailed “rich and colorful voice” backed by creative, spontaneous and accomplished instrumentalists.
The public is invited to wear some green to create a festive St. Patrick’s Day mood. Wine and beer will be sold on-site. A free-will donation will be received to support the musicians, including Emilie’s mission trip to Haiti this summer.
