Spring is the Time to Test Soil

Have your soil tested by the University of Wisconsin Soil & Forage Analysis Lab in Madison through Extension Door County. A standard soil test identifies soil pH, the percentage of organic matter in the soil and the amount of phosphorus and potassium.

Take soil samples to the Extension Door County office, 421 Nebraska St. in Sturgeon Bay. The standard test is $15; an additional $5 fee applies if you want the Extension office to mail your sample.
