St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Raises $3,316 for Hurricane Relief Efforts

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church recently hosted a concert to raise money for those impacted by the hurricanes in Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands. Violinist Beth Chafey-Hon, accompanied by Sue Raye Hughes, provided an afternoon of musical delight. Joining them on percussion was Sten Kordon from Gibraltar High School. The concert raised $1,658, which was matched by a gift for a total of $3,316 for relief efforts. All money was sent to Episcopal Relief and Development, who consistently get the highest ratings on Charity Navigator. Their primary mission is to go in after a crisis and provide long-term assistance for rebuilding lives and communities as well as working with these communities to plan for potential future disasters.
