St. Luke’s Hosts Two-day Workshop

St Luke’s Episcopal Church in Sister Bay will host a two-day workshop, “Final Gifts for the End of Life: What We Leave and the Gifts We Receive,” Oct. 23-24, 1-3:30 pm. Day one includes Attorney Collin Dahl discussing estate planning, wills, trusts and planned giving. Unity Hospice will present on advanced directives, and Todd Huehns will talk about how to prepare and what to expect at/after the time of death.

Day two informs participants of community resources that are available to the dying and their loved ones. Unity Hospice will present “Hospice 101,” Marggie Hatala will communicate how the Doulagivers of Door County teach and support families to feel comfortable with taking care of their dying loved one at home, and there will be a segment on writing your own obituary and memorial service/funeral planning.

This two-day workshop is open to the public and can be attended either one or both days. St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is located at 2336 Canterbury Lane, Sister Bay.
