StageKids Holiday Show Auditions Open to All Students

Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) is pleased to announce auditions for their annual StageKids Holiday Show. Auditions are open to students ages 5 and up and to adults. Ryan Patrick Shaw will direct. Students from throughout Door County are encouraged to audition. No appointment necessary.

Open auditions will be held: Oct. 5, 4 – 7 pm; Oct. 10, 11 am – 2 pm; and callback is Oct. 11, 5 – 7 pm. The StageKids Holiday show will be performed Nov. 20, 21 and 22 at Third Avenue Playhouse.

Auditions will be held at the Third Avenue Playhouse at 239 N. 3rd Avenue, Sturgeon Bay. No prepared material is required for the audition. Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script, move around and have fun. For more information call 920.743.1760.

The StageKids program and the Boys and Girls Club of Door County are excited to announce a partnership for the 2015-16 school year.

During the school year, fourth and fifth grade students will have the opportunity to work with professionals from TAP. Meeting twice a week, beginning Oct. 6, students will work on improvisation, musical theater, scene study, playwriting, film study and much more.

The collaboration will culminate in a final performance onstage at TAP at the end of May 2016.

This collaboration is the culmination of several months of work between the two organizations and is made possible by grants from the Door County Community Foundation and the Wisconsin Arts Board.
