Stenzel Wins 4th Straight Conference Championship

Sevastopol’s Olivia Stenzel earned her fourth straight Packerland cross-country title Oct. 15, outpacing the field by nearly a full minute. She finished in 19:33; Sydney Lund of Peshtigo took second in 20:26; and Stenzel’s teammates Jolene Luedke (21:08) and Kylie Newton (22:07) followed. 

Those performances lead the Pioneers to the team title over second-place Southern Door and third-place Oconto. 

On the boys’ side, the competition was a little tighter: Caleb Smith of Peshtigo beat Josh Woller of Oconto by 24 seconds. The top local finishers were Bailey Henrickson of Sevastopol, who came in fifth (18:29); and Noah Tomaszewski, who finished sixth (18:57). 

Stenzel and Smith were named Runners of the Year.
