The Village of Forestville is exploring what to do about a large number of stray cats within the village.
During its Monday-evening board meeting, trustee Lora Jorgensen said she still has a couple of stray cats that go through her yard.
“I have cameras at my house now,” she said. “They go off in the middle of the night, and the dogs are barking because [the cats] are in the front yard.”
Jorgensen agreed to contact the Wisconsin Humane Society’s Door County campus to discuss what could be done. Questions the village will research include whether the humane society would charge the village for taking cats that had been caught in live traps to its facility.
