Stride Academy Launched by Boys and Girls Club

The Boys and Girls Club of Door County have launched Stride Academy, a tool that focuses on motivating disengaged students to give their best effort academically.

Students start with an initial online assessment which diagnoses individual students’ strengths and skill gaps on common core and state standards, then automatically scaffolds curriculum up or down to accelerate or remediate the student accordingly. This allows programing to remediate only the skill that a student has not yet mastered.

Members are given access to the online program twice a week and are also able to access it outside of club time. Stride Academy was partially funded through the Wisconsin After 3 initiative as well as by The Raibrook Foundation.
