Strivers Excel Teams Tumble to Victory

The Door County YMCA Strivers gymnastics team hosted its annual Flipping in Door County Meet Feb. 29 – March 1 at the Sturgeon Bay YMCA Gymnastics Center. The Excel Silver and Excel Gold teams took first-place trophies by tumbling past seven other YMCA teams from around the state. 

Competing on the Strivers Silver team are Madison Voight, Shylee Asher, Jozlynn Burlo, Alexa Jimenez-Seyfer, Elloise Bloniarz, June VanLieshout, Delaney Wilke and Savannah Guilette. Members of the Excel Gold team are Lauren Pratt, Taylor Newton, Eliana Kersher, Abby DeClark, Anna Gallardo-Ibarra and Amira Anschutz. 

The Strivers will compete in the state YMCA gymnastics meet April 4-5 in Kimberly, hosted by the Heart of the Valley YMCA.
