Strivers Return with Three National Titles

The Door County YMCA Strivers Gymnastic Team returned home from the 2015 YMCA Gymnastic Nationals with three national titles. Nationals were held in Wichita, Kansas, June 24-27.

X-Cel Silver gymnast Laci Lautenbach captured the floor exercise gold with a score of 9.60. She also earned two silver medals: for vault with 9.45 and bars, 9.775. Lautenbach captured bronze on the balance beam with a 9.275.

MaKaila McCambridge, Level 6, won her title on vault with a score of 9.375. She placed seventh on floor with a 9.275 and tenth on balance beam with 9.075.

Kendall Christiansen, Level 3, won gold on the vault with a score of 9.40.

Kelsey Christiansen, Level 6, earned silver on the floor with 9.5; fifth on bars with 8.85; and seventh on vault with 9.1.

Emma Reichel, Level 3, medaled seventh on the vault with 9.10, and placed ninth on bars with 9.025.

Miya Eliyah, Level 6, earned a fifth place medal on the floor with 9.225 and tenth on bars with 8.250.

Reetika Jandu, Level 6, earned a twelfth place finish on the floor with 9.050.

Tiani LeMieux, Level 2, was awarded fifth place on the vault with 9.050 and tenth on floor with 8.80.

Jenna Barnaby, Level 2, captured sixteenth on bars with 8.85.

The Strivers are coached by Nikki Pollman, Amy Gamble, Mikki Rankin, Gerritt DeJonge, Marissa Blahnik and Deb Christiansen. Coach Gamble made the trip with the team this year.
