Strong Showing in St. Louis for Tilton + Oeler

Sister Bay artists Dave Tilton and Paula Oeler are pleased to have two of their works selected for exhibition in the St. Louis Artists’ Guild’s Elements of Abstraction national juried show. Juror Claire Ashley teaches Contemporary Practices, Painting and Drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

“Last Light” by Dave Tilton and “Wind Wave” by Tilton + Oeler will be on exhibit from Nov. 20 – Jan. 2. An artists’ reception will be held opening day; a gallery talk is scheduled for Dec. 9.

In 2010, three of Tilton’s pieces were shown by the St. Louis Artists’ Guild at their Ann Metzger Memorial National juried exhibition. One of his works, “Dismembered Lakes,” won the Karen Mills Prize at that show.

Tilton and Oeler show their work locally at Edgewood Orchard Galleries. Although physically closed for the season, works can be viewed online at edgewoodorchard.com and purchased by calling 920.868.3579. For more information see stlouisartistsguild.org or cartastudioworks.com.
