Strong Start for Vikings at Track Invitational

Gibraltar High School’s track and field team competed at the Oshkosh Girls Indoor Small School Invitational on March 29. There were a few highlights for the team as they begin the season.

In the 60-meter dash, Bria Caldecott (19th) and Chloe Massad (20th) finished fourth and fifth among Division 3 competitors, with times of 8.82 and 8.83 respectively.

Caldecott and Massad along with Aleah Bauldry and Hannah Helm finished 12th overall in the 4×200 relay, good for second among Division 3 teams with a time of 1:58.52 (just behind the first D3 finishers, the team from Reedsville which finished in 1:58.00).

Gibraltar is next scheduled to compete on April 5 in a triangular against Sturgeon Bay at Algoma High School.
