Students Participate in Manufacturing Career Day

More than 200 ninth-grade students from the school districts of Luxemburg-Casco, Kewaunee and Algoma participated in the 2019 Kewaunee County Manufacturing Career Day on Oct. 15.

Students could tour three manufacturers in Algoma – Multi Color, Olson Fabrication and CTI Hospitality – and attend breakout sessions during their lunch period to hear presentations by EMT/Public Safety, the Kewaunee Sheriff’s Department, Human Services, Natural Resources, NWTC Mobile Center, Multi Color, FTS Technology Group, Bayland, Miller Welders, Ebert Enterprises, CliftonLarsonAllen, Precision Machine, Bank of Luxemburg and NWTC. Manufacturing – the largest industry sector in Kewaunee County – employs nearly 30 percent of the workforce and provides many well-paying positions.
