WIS 42/57 Reconstruction Project Website Now Available

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region is announcing a project website for the WIS 42/57 reconstruction project in Sturgeon Bay, Door County, is now available to the public at http://projects.511wi.gov/wis57-42/. The project is scheduled to start in late March and finish before the July 4th holiday weekend.

This project will address safety and operational needs along the heavily-traveled state highway in Sturgeon Bay. It will reconstruct one mile of WIS 42/57 from Michigan Street to Egg Harbor Road in Sturgeon Bay and construct multi-lane roundabouts at Egg Harbor Road and Michigan Street intersections.

The WIS 42/57 website provides corridor map and roundabout displays, construction information, traffic impacts, detour maps, schedule updates, roundabout educational links, and much more. This project is being constructed in conjunction with the Bayview Bridge rehabilitation project, which began on March 1, 2016.
