Sturgeon Bay Band, Choir Students Selected for State

Sturgeon Bay High School students represented their school and community well at State Solo and Ensemble at UW-Green Bay last month. Congratulations to band students Brandon Fischer (tuba) and Ronan Link (euphonium) for receiving 1st ratings at state on their solos. Band students Kendra Ploor (bass clarinet) and Josie Morkin (tenor sax) received second ratings on their solos, and Ronan Link and Kendra Ploor also received a 2nd rating on their duet. Congratulations to Tom Renfrew (trumpet) for honorable mention on his solo. Congratulations to choir students Marley Gigstead, Moriah Grahl and Olivia Wery for receiving 1st ratings on their voice solos. Congratulations to Madeline Blahnik, Sydney Felhofer and Alexis Daoust for receiving a 2nd rating on their trio and Alexis Daoust and Sydney Felhofer for a 2nd rating on their voice duet. Congratulations to the Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, and the band trio that were also selected for state.
